Automated logistics center nearing $115 mln to be built in Nur-Sultan

The national investment agency Kazakh Invest and the company Wholesale Retail Trade Enterprise JSC signed a memorandum of cooperation to finance the project – the construction of modern automated logistics and fulfilment center in the Kazakh capital, the total investment in which is to reach $ 115 million, , the Kazakh Invest’s press office has said in a statement. At the first stage the investment will near $15 million and funds will be used to build the logistics center with a total area of 20,000 square meters and as a result, 200 permanent jobs are to be set up, according to the statement.  The project is to be completed by the end of 2022. Upon completion of the first stage it is planned to proceed with the logistics center automation (robotization) bringing the total investment to $ 70- $ 100 million.  Within the framework of the project it is planned to attract the world’s top three companies active in the field of warehouse automation – Dematic (Luxembourg), KNAPP (Austria), SSI Schafer (USA). (Interfax-Kazakhstan 20/01/2021)
